FH: Terriers Selected Favorite in NECC Preseason Poll

MANSFIELD, Mass. – The New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) has announced its preseason poll for field hockey and Thomas College was picked to finish first in a vote conducted by the league's coaches.

The Terriers were regular season champions in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) a season ago, and 2018 NAC Coach of the Year Andrea Thebarge returns to the sidelines for her 12th season at Thomas. Seven starters will return, including the 2018 NAC Player of the Year, Kelci Faulkingham (Belfast, Maine), and fellow first team All-NAC performer Britney Gregoire (Kennebunk, Maine).  Faulkingham totaled 17 points last season, while Gregoire was second in the NAC in goals with 15. Lindsey Gregoire (Kennebunk, Maine) returns after notching 24 points last season, while back Haley Thebarge (Smithfield, Maine) will help solidify the Terriers defense.
