FH: Chargers Drop Thomas, 2-1

WATERVILLE, Maine – The Thomas College field hockey team dropped a 2-1 decision to Colby-Sawyer in a non-conference game on Sunday afternoon at Bernatchez Field.

The Terriers got on the board early as Britney Gregoire (Kennebunk, Maine) scored less than a minute in off a feed from Kelci Faulkingham (Belfast, Maine) to give Thomas the 1-0 advantage. The Chargers answered back in the ninth minute on a goal by Alie Jones to even the score at 1-1 going into the second half.

Colleen Burke scored the game-winner for Colby-Sawyer in the 49th minute on a pass from Jordan Teixeira to give the Chargers the 2-1 win.

Abby Ladd made six saves in goal for Colby-Sawyer to earn the win, while Leah Kruse (Norridgewock, Maine) got the loss for Thomas.
