WENHAM, Mass. – Lindsey Gregoire (Kennebunk, Maine) scored twice to lead the Thomas College field hockey team to a 3-1 victory at Gordon College on Saturday afternoon.
Gordon struck first at the 18:10 mark when Paige Blake found Megan Gordon to put the Fighting Scots up 1-0. The Terriers knotted things up in the closing minutes of the first on a Lindsey Gregoire goal assisted by Katie Taylor (Lebanon, Maine). Lindsey scored her second goal ten minutes into the second off a feed from Britney Gregoire (Kennebunk, Maine), who later added an insurance goal to push Thomas to the 3-1 win.
Leah Kruse (Norridgewock, Maine) was strong in net for the first 60 minutes, stopping one of two shots faced. She was replaced by Alexis Bowman (Freedom, Maine), who closed out the game in her first collegiate game action. Julia Altman got the loss in 56:07 of game time, before being replaced by Jasmine Rosa for the final 13:53.
