FH: Terriers Sweep NAC Weekly Honors

WATERVILLE, Maine – The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) has announced its weekly awards for field hockey, and Thomas College swept all three awards with Britney Gregoire (Kennebunk, Maine) taking Player and Rookie of the Week and Tiffany Weeks (Kennebunk, Maine) earning Defensive Player of the Week.

Gregoire scored twice in a span of less than a minute to lead Thomas to a 4-1 season opening victory over USM on Friday. Gregoire's goal at the 62:11 mark broke a 1-1 tie and served as the game-winner. She then followed up 38 seconds later with the insurance goal to go up 3-1.

Weeks led the Terriers to just just three shots on goal allowed and four penalty corner opportunities against USM. She then anchored the Thomas defense against a strong Skidmore opponent, recording a defensive save, in a 4-0 loss on Saturday.

The Terriers will return to action on Thursday, September 6 when they head to Rivier for a 7:00 PM game.
