Kriegel Promoted to Field Hockey and Softball Associate Head Coach

WATERVILLE, Maine – The Thomas College athletic department has announced the promotion of Ali Kriegel to Associate Head Coach of the Terriers' field hockey and softball programs.

Kriegel enters her sixth season with the field hockey coaching staff under head coach Andrea Thebarge.  Over the last five seasons, the Terriers held a 33-51 record (18-15 North Atlantic Conference), including three straight trips to the NAC semifinals.

She will also enter her fifth year with the softball coaching staff under head coach Terry Parlin.  Last season, the Terriers captured the 2017 NAC Championship, becoming the first women's team in school history to make the NCAA Tournament.

As a student-athlete at Thomas, Kriegel was a four-year member and three-year captain of the field hockey and softball programs.  Over her field hockey career, she tallied 16 goals and 17 assists for 49 points.  In program history, Kriegel ranks first in career assists, third in points, and eighth in goals.  She was also a two-year member of the NAC All-Conference Team and earned National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-Academic Honors.

The Terriers will open their 2017 season on Friday, September 1 as they host the University of Southern Maine at 4:00 p.m. at Bernatchez Field.
