Bergeron Named NAC Field Hockey Player of the Week, Taylor Named Top Rookie

WATERVILLE, ME --- The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) has announced its weekly awards and senior forward Taylor Bergeron (Lyman, Maine / Massabesic) has been named NAC Field Hockey Player of the Week and first-year midfielder Katie Taylor (Lebanon, Maine / Noble) has been named NAC Field Hockey Rookie of the Week.

Bergeron scored the lone goal in Thomas' 1-0 victory over Husson off an assist from Taylor. The win was the Terriers' first over the Eagles since 2004, ending a 16-game losing streak for Thomas, and snapping the Eagles' nine-game win streak in conference play over two seasons. Thomas earned a share of the regular season title and the No. 3 seed in the conference tournament.

The Terriers (8-8, 4-1 NAC) will face No. 2-seed UMaine-Farmington (9-4, 4-1 NAC) in a NAC Tournament semifinal at noon Saturday in Farmington.
