Waterville, Maine- The Thomas College Field Hockey team finished the season on the road on October 29th in the North Atlantic Conference Quarterfinals against New England College. This would be the final game for Cathleen Cloran, Ali Kriegel, Brittany Moore, and Kristin Masessa.
The Terriers finished the season with a record of 6-12 and 4-5 NAC, which placed the team seventh in the conference. The Terriers were led by three seniors in goals Kreigel, Moore and Masessa, each amassed six goals on the season. Kriegel gathered the most points with 15 points. Kriegel also tied for the lead in assist with three others Terriers; junior Bre Girard, first year Brittany Premo, and junior Miranda Tinsman. Sophomore Sofia Sourgiadakis started all but one game in goal for the Terriers and finished the season with four wins, with a save percentage of .785 percent.
Thomas College junior Ally Kennedy was named North Atlantic Conference Second Team All-Conference. Kennedy finished the 2011 season with three goals and two assists for eight points. Kennedy put 29 of her 52 shots on goal and played and started in all 18 games for the Terriers field hockey team this fall.
First year Alei Collier scored three goals (including her first career) in one week locking her in as NAC Rookie of the Week for the week of October 17th – 23rd.
The Terriers scored a memorable win on October 15th at home winning 4-3 in Overtime over Colby Sawyer Chargers. First year Alyssa Eugley scored the winning goal which was her first career goal.
The following are players also scored their first career goals this season junior Bre Girard, sophomore Callie Joseph, first year Britany Premo and first year Jaclyn Hartwell. Transfers sophomore Lauren Hachey and junior Miranda Tinsman scored their first goals for the Terriers.
