Kashley Weymouth put the Beavers (8-6, 6-2 NAC) on the scoreboard first when she tallied a breakaway goal at the 5:44 mark. Twenty minutes later Kaitlyn Bullen put in the eventual game winning goal for the Beavers.
At the half the Beavers led 2-0.
The Terriers got on the scoreboard at the 58:38 mark when first year Alei Collier scored her first career goal on a scramble in front of the UMF goal. The Terriers fought to tie the game with 11 second half shots, but they were unable to get past the Beavers defense and first year goalkeeper Curran Brierley.
The Beavers held the advantage on shots with 23-to-20 and the Terriers took the advantage on penalty corners with 14-to-9.
Sophomore goalkeeper Jasmine Bishop recorded 11 saves for the Terriers in the loss. Brierley recorded 8 saves and the win for the Beavers.
The Terriers return to action on October 22nd when they travel to the Raiders of Rivier for a 1 p.m. NAC match up. The Beavers return to play on October 22nd when they travel to the Pilgrims of New England College for a 5 p.m. NAC game.
