Nashua, N.H. – The Thomas College field hockey team notched their second win of the season yesterday in a non-conference match up at Daniel Webster. The Terriers jumped out to an early two goal lead, but the Eagles were able to battle back in the second half evening the score at 2-2. Junior Miranda Tinsman provided a two goal performance in the second half propelling the Terriers over their host 4-2.
The Terriers (2-4, 0-0 NAC) took the early lead when senior Brittany Moore connected with fellow senior Ali Kriegel off a corner putting the Terriers up 1-0. Sophomore Callie Joseph added to the lead when she finished her first career goal.
The Eagles (1-3) answered in the second when Courtney Brennan tipped in a pass from Samantha Bark getting the host team on the board 1-2. Brennan tied the game up with 15 minutes to go off of a Shelby Mortin pass.
Tinsman broke the tie with a goal off of a penalty stroke with 12:45 remaining in the second half. Tinsman gave the Terriers some insurance with her second goal of the game with 11 seconds remaining.
Sophomore goal keeper Jasmine Bishop has a three save performance in the second half and picks up her first career.
The Terriers will travel to New England College this Saturday for a 1:00 p.m. match up with the North Atlantic Conference newcomer.
