Thomas falls to Husson 5-1 in Play 4 The Cure game

Waterville, ME -- Today's match was the Play 4 The Cure game to honor breast cancer survivors and raise money for this cause. Husson would take the win 5-1 in a match against conference rivals.

The Eagles would score first off a penalty corner when Courtney Allen with the assist credited to Jullian Morin at the 21 minute mark. Morin would score a goal of her own three minutes later to give Husson a 2-0 lead at the half.

Husson would increase their lead when Morin had her second goal of the game two minutes into the second half off a penalty corner. At the 53 minute mark Husson's Kara Poirier would get an unassisted goal off a penalty corner to increase the Eagles lead to 4-0.

Thomas would jump on the board at the 61 minute when Ally Kennedy (Readfield, ME) took a pass from Ali Kriegel (Winslow, ME) on a penalty corner. Husson would add one more from Kajsa Blindow in the 69 minute to win the game.

The Terriers (4-7, 2-2 NAC) will travel next to face Castleton in a conference match, Saturday October 16, 2010 at 1:00pm.
