WATERVILLE, Maine – The Thomas College ice hockey team made their 2019-20 debut on the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division III Atlantic Regional Rankings, entering the rankings for the first time this season after being ranked three times a season ago. The Terriers, who are 7-4 on the season, are ranked No. 9 in the poll, as announced by the ACHA on Friday.
Thomas made its way back into the poll with a pair of impressive wins over ranked opponents this past weekend. The Terriers defeated No. 6 UConn 7-5 on Saturday night, then took down No. 9 Springfield 4-1 on Sunday.
Thomas will begin a home-and-home series with another ranked opponent, No. 21 Central Maine Community College, when they visit the Mustangs on Saturday, February 1 at 7:00 PM. The teams will play again at the Camden National Bank Ice Vault on Wednesday, February 5 at 8:10 PM.
