Bolton, Conn. – The Thomas College Ice Hockey team defeated the University of Connecticut 7-5 on Saturday evening at the Bolton Ice Palace.

The Terriers had a few scoring chances late in the first period, but they were unable to capitalize on their opportunities. Tom Green (Biddeford, Maine) made a couple key saves before the first intermission and the period concluded 0-0.

Connecticut jumped to a 2-0 lead early in the second period, but Thomas responded with goals from Jaymen Swygert (Summerville, S.C.) and Justin Wentworth (China, Maine) before the second intermission to tie the game 2-2.

The Huskies went ahead 4-2 in the early minutes of the third period and established a two-goal lead for the second time. At the midway mark Wentworth scored his second goal of the game and Matthew Deveaux (Brunswick, Maine) tied the game again at 4-4.
