Ice Hockey Falls To Daniel Webster

NASHUA, NH - The Thomas ice hockey team was defeated by Daniel Webster 11-0 on Saturday evening. The loss puts the Terriers at 2-5-1 on the season.

The Eagles got off to 2-0 lead after the first period on goals by Steven Smoltz and David Downie. Thomas outshot the Daniel Webster 10-9 in the period.

The Eagles would add four more goals to their lead in the second period, as Downie would score his second of the game, and Storm Adams added two of his own.

Daniel Webster notched five more goals in the final period to bring the final to 11-0. The Terriers were outshot 39-22 on the night.

Goalies Tanner Brooks and Michael Small combined for 28 saves in net for Thomas.

The ice hockey team will nex thit the ice in the new year when they play host to Bates College on January 12 at 9:30am.
