WATERVILLE, ME – Thomas College ice hockey has been admitted into the North East Collegiate Hockey Association (NECHA) and will begin play in the Colonial Conference during the 2014-15 season.
The NECHA comprises of 42 members across New England and is separated into three conferences, the Patriot, American, and Colonial. Each member institution is affiliated with the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and is in good standing with USA Hockey.
Thomas will play a conference schedule with: Norwich University, Lyndon State College, Colby-Sawyer College, University of New England, United States Coast Guard Academy, Western Connecticut State University, Springfield College, and Worcester Polytechnic Institute, while Saint Joseph's College and Trinity will be associate members.
The Terriers were an associate member of the NECHA last season, while playing a conference schedule in the Central Maine Collegiate Conference (CMCC) and winning the 2014 CMCC Championship.
