WATERVILLE, ME- Thomas (2-0) continued their dramatic winning ways, scoring with .43 seconds on the clock in the third period to seal a 2-1 victory over Colby. Michael Hersom got a pass from Bryce Lamontagne then proceeded towards the net where he beat the keeper to the high blocker side for the game-winner.
The Terriers were first to find the back of the net, as Eric Morin put the home side up 1-0 at the 9:19 mark of the opening stanza. Morin got a feed from Lamontagne, then took the puck in the slot to fire a shot past the Colby netminder.
Colby brought the game to a 1-1 deadlock midway through the second period on a power play goal at the 4:59 mark that just made it past Conner Blair.
Colby held a 29-20 advantage in shots, while both teams combined for 14 penalties in the battle between crosstown rivals.
Blair made 28 saves in the victory for the Terriers, his second of the season. Morin led the squad with five total shots on net.
Thomas will return to the ice on Tuesday, Nov. 5 as they travel to University of Maine. Puck drops at 7:45pm.
