Kane Takes NAC Player of the Week Honor

WATERVILLE, ME - Thomas baseball junior Derek Kane has been named the North Atlantic Conference Player of the Week for his performances over five games during the week of April 6 through April 12.

Kane was consistent on the week as he hit .333 (4-for-12) against three opponents. In five games, the first baseman recorded four runs, two doubles, one triple, three RBI, drew three walks, and stole one base.

In a sweep of New England College, the junior scored two runs, hit one double, earned two RBI, drew two walks, and stole a base.

On the season, Kane currently leads the team in slugging percentage (.526), on-base percentage (.479), doubles (5) and walks (14) and is second in batting average (.368), runs scored (12) and triples (2). The junior also has a team-high 15 strikeouts in 19.1 innings pitched with a 1.86 earned-run average.
