Four Terriers Named All-Conference

Whitingham, Vt. – Four members of the Thomas College baseball have earned North Eastern Athletic Conference East Division All-Conference Honors.  Jeff Richardson and Cody Vigue earned first team honors while Ben Goodall and Joshua Gray pick up second team honors. Head Coach Greg King also earned honors being name Coach of the Year for the second year in a row.

Richardson led the Terriers at the plate batting .374 with 49 hits, 11 doubles, 15 RBI's, and a .458 slugging percentage. Richardson also provided the Terriers with outstanding defense at short stop finishing the regular season with a .960 fielding percentage.

Vigue led the Terriers with 10 steals while batting .324 with 28 RBI's. Vigue's bat was busy all season as he hammered the ball for 36 hits, 10 doubles, four triples, and two home runs. In the outfield Vigue finished the regular season with a .984 fielding percentage overall and was perfect with a 1.000 fielding percentage in conference play.

Goodall finished the regular season leading the Terriers with 46 RBI's and five home runs, with a batting average of .316. Gray wraps up his senior season with a .344 batting average finishing second on the squad. Gray was also fourth best amongst the Terriers with 17 RBI's.

For the second year in a row Head Coach Greg King has been named the NEAC East Coach of the Year. Coach King led the 2012 Terriers to a 24-15 overall record and 19-5 record in the NEAC East locking up a second place seed in the tournament.

The Terriers begin their post season run tomorrow with a matchup against rival Husson in Game 2 of the NEAC East Championship on the campus of number one seeded Castleton at 2:30 p.m.
