Parlin joined the Terriers coaching staff in 2008 at helm of the Thomas College softball team. Parlin led the 2011 Terriers squad to a overall record of 19-15, finishing second in the North Atlantic Conference with a record of 12-2. Parlin was also named NAC Softball Coach of the Year for the 2011 spring season. Parlin will serve as an Assistant Athletic Director, after being the Interim Athletic Director in 2011.
Parlin returned to Thomas in 2008 after coaching softball at Winslow High School where he accumulated a record of 70 wins and 10 losses in four years. While at Winslow, the team went to the Eastern Maine Finals four consecutive years and won a Maine State Championship in 2005. Prior to coaching at Winslow, Terry coached softball at Messalonskee High School for ten years. At Messalonskee, under Terry's leadership, the team won four Eastern Maine titles. Terry also served as the Athletic Director at Messalonskee for one year.
Parlin has also served as the Head Baseball Coach in 1978 and as Assistant Women's Soccer Coach in 2002 and 2008 here at Thomas. From 1982-85, Parlin served as the Head Women's Soccer Coach at Colby College. He also served as the Head Softball Coach at Colby in 1985. Parlin taught mathematics at Waterville High School from 1971-85 and 1986-98.
Parlin resides in Oakland, Maine and is a '71 graduate of the Univeristy of Maine at Farmington.
