Ottman Named to All-NAC Second Team

WATERVILLE, ME – The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) has announced the Men's Cross Country All-Conference teams and freshman runner Jarrod Ottman has been named to the All-NAC Second Team.  

Ottman had an impressive year for the Terriers as the team's top runner.  This past weekend Ottman finished ninth in the NAC Championship race held at Johnson State, leading the Terriers to a program best fourth place finish overall.  He started off the season collecting three consecutive NAC Rookie of the Week awards with a fifth place finish at the Emmanuel Invitational, sixth place out of 154 at the UNE Invitational, and a third place at the Johnson State Invitational.

In addition, senior Nick Kopf (Hampden, Maine / Hampden Academy) and junior Alyssa Maggi (Belchertown, Mass. / Belchertown) were selected to represent Thomas on the NAC Cross Country Sportsmanship Teams.

In the NAC men's race, Kopf finished 19th with a time of 29:04 while Maggi finished the women's race in 57th at 27:44.

In their next event, Thomas will run in the NCAA New England Regional Championships on Saturday, November 12 in Westfield, Massachusetts.
