Thomas College Softball Clinic 2017

Information Sheet

Place:   Alfond Athletic Center on the Thomas College Campus

Dates:  Sunday, January 29, February 5 & 12 and March 5 & 12, 2017 (5 sessions)

Times:  Session A:  12 noon to 12:15 p.m. (set up and warm-up):  Pitching – 12:15 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

               Session B:  1:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. (set up and warm-up): Hitting/Fielding – 1:45 p.m. to 3 p.m.

               Please come 15 min. prior to the start of the session.

Cost:  $ 15.00 per session per player if you pay for each session individually ($60.00 for all five sessions of pitching and/or $60.00 for all five sessions of hitting/fielding if paid before the first session and you receive a Thomas College Softball t-shirt!). Please pay at the sign-up table prior to the first session for the special 5-session discount OR before each session if paying for each session separately. Make checks payable to “Thomas College Softball”.

Ages:  Grade 4 through high school (others with permission)

The Thomas College Softball Team members will conduct the clinic as a fundraiser for their spring trip to Florida.
Head Softball Coach Terry Parlin and assistant coach Colin Campbell will be the instructors.

The hitting/fielding session will be a series of stations where players can work on a variety of hitting and fielding fundamentals.
Please bring your own bat, helmet, a softball glove, and batting gloves.

The pitching session will work on basic to advanced pitching fundamentals.
Pitchers please bring a catcher (no charge to the catcher for this session).

Pitchers and /or catchers may also sign up for the hitting/fielding session.

 Space is limited so please call in advance to reserve a space for each session.

Everyone participating, including adult catchers, must fill out an “Assumption of Risk and Release for Thomas College” form prior to competing.  Anyone under the age of 18 must have an adult signature as well.  Here is the link for the form:  Once there, this form can be found by clicking the “Liability Form To be Filled out by all participants” line.
